Astrology by Tessa: Aquarius Season

Tessa Geary, Reporter

In honor of Aquarius season (January 19th- February 18th), here are some common traits, similarities, and opinions specific to people with this zodiac sign.

To an Aquarius, questions are what complaints are to a chronically depressed person. If I could describe an Aquarius in one word it would be curious. To people with this sign, “Weird” is impressing, enthralling, mystifying, and most of all exciting. Deep thinking and introspection are magnetic. In tropical astrology, zodiac signs are said to be ordered by age. In general, Astrology works as a linear timeline with Aries at the beginning and Pisces at the end. Aquarius in this system is the second to last, thus making it an elder in the system. While this could be interpreted as acting like a grumpy, erratic old man (very true for some who fall under the sign) it should be noted that with age comes wisdom and new experiences gained. The creativity and wild ideas proposed by an Aquarius are ones equated with an old soul.

Astrology is a vast and complex subject that includes all aspects of life. With the good comes the bad. In day-to-day life, an Aquarius can feel out of place or isolated in communities where they should feel comfortable and welcome. “Alone in a room full of people” is a phrase almost every Aquarius can relate to. Though, this dilemma does have a bright side. Often, these feelings lead to finding solace in many creative outlets such as music, writing, and art, making the sign very imaginative. Wish all your friends and loved ones born between mid-January and February a happy Aquarius season and let these traits and quirks inspire you to think freely and creatively
