Cheer wins 2nd place at Outlet competition

Varsity Cheer took home the second place prize on Saturday, August 6 at the “Something to Cheer About” competition hosted at the the Outlet Shoppes at El Paso. The team vied against schools from across the region for the chance to win the grand prize of $1,000.

While the girls came short of the grand prize, they did earn second place and $500 to go towards the team.

“Franklin Varsity Cheer took second place at Something to Cheer About and won a total of $700,” Head Coach Nikkie Harris said.

According to Coach Harris they plan to use the money for any team building that they do or for any supply that they would need for the cheer program.
