Bringing back the heartwarming feeling of romance and drama to Franklin students, fans started binge watching Twilight after it was re-released on Netflix on July 16, 2021. 

During the week of July 16, all five of the movies hit Netflix’s top 10 most-watched list. 

When it circulated on Netflix, it reminded everyone how good the storyline was and how they missed watching it. 

The 5 movies were based on the four books Stephenie Meyer made from the years 2005-2008, which led to the making of the Twilight movies.

Netflix gave all the Twilight fans the opportunity to forget about their lives and re-immerse themselves into the Twilight saga.  

Twilight is about a 17-year-old girl named Bella Swan who moved to a small city in Washington DC called Forks to live with her dad. During that time, she met the Cullen family where she later fell in love with Edward Cullen, a vampire. She didn’t know he was a vampire at the time but during the whole series she finds out and she faces a lot of difficult things with him. This is a story about Bella and Edward’s relationship and how they went through a lot to be together. Fans mainly love the romance that is going on between Bella and Edward while other fans just love the fantasy and drama that comes with the movies.

1. Did you rewatch Twilight when it came out on Netflix? Honestly I had only read the first book before they were on Netflix so it was a first time watch  but it was very accurate to the book though. 
2. What do you like about Twilight? I love the pacific northwest vibes as an Oregonian, but I love the romance too it’s cheesy but I love it. 
3. What do you dislike about Twilight? The CGI (computer generated imagery) when they run looks kind of fake.

5. Who is your favorite character? Laurent (Edi Gathegi)
